Born in Mayo, Mike is a practising musician, teacher and artist. He teaches music theory with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, piano and guitar at Grow Music, Dundalk, and lectures in psychology and philosophy with DCU's Centre for Talented Youth Ireland. He was Artist in Residence at An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk, and is a recipient of the 2026 Music Network bursary.
