Step into the wonder of Christmas with Peace & Light, a magical evening presented by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland conducted by Maestro Greg Beardsell and featuring stunning vocal soloists Lauren Murphy, Rebecca Mulligan and Clare Keeley. Led by virtuoso violinist Richie Dunne, Ireland’s premier youth orchestra will perform all your festive family favourites.

In celebration of their 30th anniversary, the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) will present Music for Peace, a major humanitarian fundraising concert at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, on Sunday 6th September 2026 at 3.00pm. Presented in support of UNICEF and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), the concert aims to raise vital funds to provide urgently needed humanitarian assistance, including food, medical supplies and essential support services for children affected by conflict and humanitarian crises. In an extraordinary commitment to the cause, 100% of all box office income will be donated directly to humanitarian relief efforts. In addition, all funds raised through ticket sales and public donations will be matched by the concert’s principal supporting sponsor, doubling the impact of every contribution.

Every year, CBOI members come together for our non-residential Summer Workshop, held over five days at the end of July and beginning of August. Members work in sectional rehearsals with our team of professional tutors before the full orchestra comes together under the baton of Maestro Greg Beardsell. The Summer Workshop provides an intensive, hugely enjoyable, and extremely rewarding start to each new season.

Peace Proms is a free music & peace programme for Primary Schools that engages over 30,000 children in 700 primary schools across Ireland and Northern Ireland each year. The highlight is a series of spectacular large-scale concerts, featuring up to 3,000 choir members and our full symphony youth orchestra, held in major arena venues across Ireland and Northern Ireland in January–March 2027.
