Lauren Murphy is a multi-award-winning, classically trained singer/songwriter and vocal coach from North Monaghan. Performing nationally and internationally since the age of eight, she has worked across a wide range of genres including Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop/Funk, Jazz, Soul and Rock/Metal.

At 11, she won RTÉ's televised talent competition Star Stream, and as a young teenager was hailed by Hotpress magazine as "undoubtedly one to watch" for her powerful, emotionally charged voice and compelling songwriting. Over more than 20 years of performing, she has become known for her vibrant, captivating stage presence, praised by Indie Buddie for her humour, energy and commanding vocals.

Lauren has fronted and collaborated with numerous bands, including Tolü Makay, Toshin, Beyond The Horizon, and currently the Dundalk-based funk/rock group Accidents In The Workplace. The band has earned significant attention with national radio play, high-energy live performances, and support slots for acts such as The Strypes and Crazytown.

As a soloist, Lauren has performed to over 500,000 people with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland across many Peace Proms tours, which bring together more than 35,000 primary school children annually in major venues including the RDS Dublin and the SSE Arena Belfast. Lauren holds a BA (Hons) in Music from DkIT (2015), a degree in English Literature from DCU (2021) and a Professional Masters in Education from DCU (2022).
