Paul O’Callaghan has been a Director of the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) since 2009 and brings extensive experience in technology, systems development, project management and organisational strategy to the Board.
Paul has worked in the healthcare technology sector for almost two decades with Philips Healthcare, where he specialises in software architecture, systems integration and project management. His work involves developing and supporting complex healthcare technology solutions across international markets, working with hospitals in 14 countries across four continents.
Prior to joining Philips, Paul spent more than ten years with TOMCAT Systems Ltd in Belfast, where he was a senior software engineer, technical lead and systems architect. He also held senior development and technical roles with Euro Software Systems and began his career in IT and audio-visual technology at St Paul’s High School, Bessbrook.
Alongside his professional career in technology, Paul has been a longstanding supporter and Director of CBOI. He is particularly committed to the organisation’s mission of bringing young people from across Ireland together through music, education and performance, and to its role as a leading all-island peace and cultural initiative.
Paul’s combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking and long-standing commitment to CBOI makes him a valued member of the organisation’s Board.
